Sinusitis

Headaches, coughing, a sore throat, pain in the ears and teeth are the most common symptoms of sinusitis. Sinusitis occurs when the tissue that is lining the air cavities within the nose (sinuses) are infected. You may experience cold-like symptoms like coughing and a runny nose. We may give you antibiotics to get rid of the infection especially if it is detected early. But sinusitis can also be a medical emergency especially if it is a fungal infection. Complex sinus infections may cause meningitis, brain abscess or osteomyelitis. Common colds can also cause sinus blockage.

Your case of sinusitis may be qualified as chronic sinusitis. The symptoms of chronic sinusitis can last for more than 8 weeks. Come in to our Panama City ENT office(s) for thorough examination.
